assignment_calculator

Description

The assignment calculator is designed for educational websites such as
universities or high schools to help students calculate the steps needed to
complete an assignment by the due date. Content administrators will set up
various assignment templates, such as research papers, and will include the
steps needed to complete an assignment and the percentage of time this step
should take. For example, step one might be researching a topic and it should
take 10% of your time. Once these templates are created, a user on the site
can select an assignment and a due date using a webform. The system will then
calculate when each step is due by in order for the assignment to be complete
on time.

This project was modeled after the open source project developed at the
University of Minnesota Libraries and was adapted for use on the University
of Oklahoma Libraries Drupal site.

Configuration

• Configure user permissions in Administration » People » Permissions:
• Use the administration pages and help (System module)
• Recommended to create a permissions role for the Assignment Calculator that will allow given users to create templates.
• A webform is created on install without any templates to populate the list.
• Created Assignment Templates will be available as a radio list to the end users' webform selection.
