This module is meant to prevent duplicate content during the creation for nodes.

After typing in the title for the node and focusing on a different field it will run an ajax call that will find similarly named nodes in the same content type. It will then display the similar nodes with their respective link and a message explaining that the user should review those piece of content before posting their node because it might be duplicate content.

The user also has configuration options to select what content types they run on and how sensitive the comparison function is.

This module implements the jQuery Dirty Forms library (http://mal.co.nz/code/jquery-dirty-forms/) which provides a more robust and flexible approach to alerting users when they attempt to leave a page with unsaved changes.

The main benefit of this module over other dirty form libraries is that this one allows you to define custom dialog boxes in newer browsers with a fallback to the browser's default dialog box on older browsers.
