The current Drupal core defines two content types, page and story. Anyone with 'access content' permissions is able to see both the nodes these content types define, as well as the teasers that they provide.

It will allow you to define bundles (groups) of paths using similar notation to the block URL filtering. A Node smartqueue will then allow you to target certain nodes to certain paths.

This is a small module that allows a user with appropriate permission to set either a word or character limit onto individual blocks. There is a small amount of javascript included which shows the current word/character count on the block edit page, and flags when the limit has been met.
The module is intended for use in more "design led" sites, where there is a requirement to provide editable sections of restricted length.
