For content translation Drupal 8 replaces node translation by entity / field translation. That's a big difference regarding entity (formerly node) revisions. While Drupal 7 provided separate revisions per translation, Drupal 8 now "shares" a single revision across all translations. If you simply revert a revision, all translations will be reverted to this revisions. It's impossible to revert a single translations anymore.

Description

In a multilingual environment, MMS unifies handling of all translations at once for any block, node, or structural content without using separate containers, and with only the Locale module activated.

Briefly said, it works upon all <input type="text"> and <textarea> elements, giving them the ability to contain their own whole set of translations.

In administration context, each of these areas is replaced by a multilingual widget where the user can instantly look at all translations of the content, and edit them at its option. Another, dedicated widget is also available for areas managed with CKEditor.

This module aims to reduce the menu-item selection which is practical on sites with many languages and or big menus. For example: you don't want to see an Italian menu when the node language is specified as English.

In a multilingual Drupal installation, this module filters the available menus when adding a menu item in "add content". It is filtered to the selected language on the node. If no language is selected the default site-wide language is taken. Language neutral menus are not filtered.

Provides entity multilingual support with the same approach as "Translation via node translation method (multiple nodes)". This way you have 1 entity instance per language (multiple entities).
