Why this module is interesting ?
Sometimes, you may need to have a control on the download of certain file, but you don't want to control all the files.

By setting up this module, you may use the private mode only for some paths to thanks to the specific "system/files" path.

Drush Hooks for Git is a fork from GitHook. This fork exists because:

• GitHook uses a "plugins" system when it should really use the Drush hooks system.
• GitHook is designed to be self contained and fast which makes it hard to extend and not capable of bootstrapping Drupal
• To prevent breaking existing functionality for the GitHook extension

Maybe some day the two could be merged back together?
