The formatter field module provides a mechanism for specifying a formatter and formatter settings to be used for displaying a field, on a per-entity basis. Ubercart Mailchimp Subscribe is a module which adds a newsletter subscription pane to Ubercart.

I like what this module does and I find it generally an easy, well thought out module to use. With a disappointing number of alternatives, module development seems to have stood still for a while.
